Good to know about this. I ride up this route to Skyline a lot and have
never seen the dog. Sounds like most issues have been with riders
descending. Maybe he's attracted to the speed?

The two mailboxes closest are 24511 and 24530 NW Moreland Rd. We had a group
of riders about a month ago get chased during our descent. The dog actually
came out on the road.
Here is a tidbit from WashCo's website:

Hi all,
Just wanted to give a warning about a vicious / aggressive dog.
Dog is about halfway down Moreland RD, just over the Washington County line
as you descend from Skyline. House is located on the left-hand side of the
road, new house just built in the last year. Dog is about 150 lbs yellow lab
mix yesterday it charged from about 50 yards, fortunately the road is now
paved and I was able to out run it. This is the third time I've been chased
by this dog, since I don't have an address all Washington County animal
control can do is drive by and see if the dog is out.
I know a lot folks ride out in this area; just want to make sure you're
aware and prepaid this would be a bad place to crash and if you are chased
by this dog, please call Wash Co. animal control so they will make contact
with the owner.
