I'll second that, great ride. I've ridden that course several times
in both directions, but I prefer clockwise.

You can make it shorter and a bit easier by taking Hwy 20 for 7 miles
from Newport to Toledo instead of the route along the water, though the
route listed here is much more pleasant and scenic.
The bit between Rocky Creek Wayside and Otter Rock is amazing... if only
it were longer!
