The League of American Bicyclists and many on this list might take exception to your statements.  You certainly have the right to your opinion and you may ride as you wish but don't make generalizations on how others should ride.

I guess I am one of the drivers and cyclist that thinks it is stupid to ever ride across sellwood bridge in the driving lane, your risking your life and you make drivers nervous.  There is definitely not enough room to accommodate a 20 mph cyclist on the bridge, especially sense cars are going 35+ mph over that bridge.  And there is definitely not enough room to pass a cyclist comfortably on the road.  I have always crossed the bridge on the sidewalk and have never had a problem, and it really isn't that difficult to go slow on the sidewalk and stop and let others pass.  just be safe.  I  don't think it is necessary to walk your bike across the bridge though.

I am amazed at how cyclists around here cavalierly ride in roads like they are a 2000 lbs car, your not, you are super vulnerable, and you should treat every car like it is lion. for your own safety, stay in the bike lanes, when there are none and it is a busy road with no room on the side, go on the sidewalk.
