Yes.
You'll be fine, or you'll die. The bike you ride won't make much difference
as to whether you're fine or you die, but it might make a difference in how
you race. Depending on whether the course next week is super dry and bumpy
or has lots of smooth grassy sections, a 'cross bike could be a benefit or a
handicap. The course changes a bit every week, so it's hit or miss as to
which will be the case.
Some of the fastest guys out there will be on 'cross bikes.
