Uhm, maybe I'm missing something here, but last time I checked, 200
METERS was a METRIC distance. OTOH, I have no idea what is meant by a
"World Cup distance". I personally don't expect funding for this
thing to happen, but ANY indoor velodrome in Portland would almost
certainly have plenty of use and community support, assuming that fees
could be reasonable. McMenamins on site might generate some revenue,
and provide some entertainment while you're eating dinner, or enjoying
a tasty brew.
