Joe,
Last time I looked a 200 meter velodrome is metric. To use a point
of reference, in the years that the Olympic Trials and USTF
championships were not held at Hayword Field the T&F program did not
fold in Eugene. The Pepsi and Prefontaine meets are the dual meets
are probably a whole lot more fun for the fans. The whole idea is
not to build a velodrome, it is to grow and share the great program
of track racing we have now.
When Vancouver, WA builds an indoor 250 designed to hold World Cup
and Natz, then I will begin worry that we don't have one in Portland.
