Obviosly, people are not complaining about advertisements.  It is the way they are occurring, such as being randomly inserted over the broadcast without regard to the state of the event.

it is funny how we all complain now about the coverage. 8 or so years ago, pre OLN/VS, all you got was a 30 min show on espn every day and maybe an hour on sat and sun, and before that maybe a 1 hour show on wide world of sports on sundays. i guess what i am saying is that it is good they have advertisers, because if they didn't we would not be watching the tour everyday live.

I'm with Charter in Ashland, but haven't caught finishes on TV as I am at work by then...off tomorrow so will let you know about their VS coverage and ads if still interested

FYI - this is the first year that the Tour broadcast has been able to
insert local advertising. Prior to this year there was no technical
support for anything other than the network feed spots. Sounds like the
issues some of you are experiencing stem from this change.

That's the story I heard from my sponsor at the time we were filming our
ads to run during this period. Hopefully our ads don't spoil anyones
coverage here in Bend!
