you tell em Mike it is about the programs I would bet my last buck if you had an accessible venue with world class purses riders would flock here from all over the world.Key words purses in 1904 the elite purse was 10,000 this is doable today with the right partners and compliment that with a $500 amateur prize list the attendance would be so large we would have field limit issues.
I would also stress having an event partner such as roller derby would not only be fun to watch but comes with it's own fan base. just acouple cents
