While you were at harbor freight you should have picked up a digital multimeter;)

Subject: Re: [OBRA Chat] Polar HRM Question

Before I bought a "mini-screwdriver" set from Harbor Freight ( shameless plug), I had several batteries replaced at the Batteries Plus shop in Beaverton in my HRM's (various brands), calculators,  etc.  The installation is simple, but they did a voltage check on the new battery to make sure it was within spec.  I'm assuming that since it's a chain, they'll do the same at the other locations.  But, as they say, YMMV.

Batteries in my Polar HRM need to be changed.....the watch, not the
chest strap.

In the past, Polar has stated the watch needs to be sent to them in NY
as the device needs to be 'recallibrated' after battery removal &
installation.

Anyone out there in OBRA land just changed them and not sent it
back to Polar......or am I the only one gullible enough who has sent it in?

Thanks,

Ed
