OK, I'll bite on the nostalgia. Kucharik wool jerseys, shorts, and hairnet,
riding in Stockton, CA in that stuff in 100-degree heat. Mercier (NOT
Mercian) 10-speed with Simplex derailleur, Clement sew-ups on Fiamme rims.
Brooks leather saddle. Vittoria black (only color available) shoes with
wooden outsoles. Fist two helmets were a red Skid Lid, followed by the
venerable Bell V1 Pro.
