Hello Everyone
Just wanted to remind you that the Shotgun Creek Fat Tire Festival will =
be July 22-23 just outside the Eugene/Springfield area.
These are 2 great courses...the XC is a just over 5 mile loop(500ft =
elev. gain) that has everything. The course is a great mix of singles =
and double track with smooth and rocky sections to mix things up and a =
nice downhill gravel road to finish out each lap. The course is mostly =
on dirt besides that last gravel road finish and the first 1/4 mile on =
the first lap ONLY is on the road to sort people out before the single =
track.
The downhill is designed by Levi Hall Dave ,Carrie and Ron thanks a =
bunch to them...as you know they build great courses. It is not the =
same DH as last year that course was plowwed under..they are building a =
new course in the same area, just a little deeper in the woods.
The first 100 people to sign up get a free T-shirt. Plus we will be =
having a free Foster Farms chicken BBQ after the Cross County race on =
Sunday. Of course free SoBe.
The Downhillers will head down to the local bar afterwards to see =
Bill/Chuck..you would have to be there to understand this, but to make a =
long story short...Marcola is the closest town with only a couple =
hundred people and about 30 of us went to the local bar after the DH =
race last year it was pretty funnny.
Hope to see you at the races.
I will be at the SoBe booth at the Mt. Hood this weekend if you have any =
questions.
Take Care
Randy
