Thanks to everyone for your responses.
It seems I am leaving one great cycling community for another. The cycling
community in Central Florida is top notch, but the red-neck, tourist(land of
the rat(Disney)) motorists make it one of the country's most dangerous for
pedestrians and cyclists alike.
I am sure most of you will see me out there riding, competing and maybe
promoting. In Central Florida, I am part of a great group,
FloridaRacing.net. We promote several races and recreational rides in the
Central Florida area, including the Festival of Speed, a National Racing
Calendar Event which takes place in downtown Orlando. The '03 race will have
a $15,000 purse per day. The kicker is we give the profits away to local
charities. Our goal is to give back to the community where we ride.
I am looking forward to moving to Portland and hope to be a productive
member of the Portland community both on and off the bike.
Again thanks to all for your help. See you in February. I'll be the one
riding in the parka(ha ha).
