Attention Masters Women!!! The Jack Frost Time Trial is coming up 2/25

and has multiple categories for Masters Women this year! As you may or

may not recall, it was last year's Jack Frost with multiple Masters

categories for men, but women lumped into one category, that started the

movement among OBRA women for more equivalence in men's and women's

categories. This year, without another peep from any of us, multiple

categories are offered. Let's show our appreciation of this support for

Masters Women by showing up in large numbers! If you know any masters

age women who bike but haven't raced, this is a great opportunity for a

safe and low-key first race. If you haven't started training yet, come

anyway---it's a great way to start, and you won't be alone! Hope to see

   you there!

The Oregon State Time Trial flyer is out---and there are Masters Women 5

year age categories all the way up to 55+!!!!!!! I am hoping Masters

women will turn out in droves, and will get everyone they know and her

sister to show up, even those who do not usually do time trials, even

those who do not usually race, heck even those who don't usually

cycle!!!! ( I have a 55 year old mountaineering friend who just got a

mountain bike to help stay fit while recovering from a foot fracture,

has never done competitive athletics, she says with a 55+ age category

she will borrow a road bike and do it just for fun.) This is the first

event this year that I have seen offer the full range of age categories

to Masters Women. Much appreciation to Emerald Velo/Chris Bright. I hope

enough Masters Women, especially age 45 and up, will show up to

demonstrate to other promoters that this is worth doing.
