Valente, Norrene
As you all know by now, the AVC 2000 is this weekend. I hope a large part of
OBRA members can come out and "whoop" it up this Saturday and Sunday. The
morning session will start at 10am both Saturday and Sunday, breaking at
noon for lunch (on site dining will be available). Jeremy Vanschoonhoven
will be performing both days at noon, then racing picks up again at 4pm on
Saturday and 3pm on Sunday. We will kick the evening session off with the
Kiddie Kilo.
Please bring whatever noise makers you can, cow bells, pots - pans,
whistles, aunt Ethel......etc.......however, no air horns. We will be using
the air horns to signify sprint laps to the riders. The louder we can get
the better!
If track racing isn't your bag, the Alpenrose BMX Challenge will be going on
in conjunction with the track race. BMX pros from around the country will
also be here competing for a huge Pro BMX purse.
Grab this week's Willamette Week there is a 4 page Alpenrose Velodrome
Challenge 2000 pull-out in it with all the info and directions to the
Alpenrose complete.
Hope to see you there!
Cheers
