Hi Everyone,
Cross season is in full swing, the weather is incredible, Blind Date is almost over, and we're still going strong!Team Planet X USA is hosting FREE CX Skills Camp every Thursday night in NE Portland! These are open to the public, and perfectly applicable to every level of racer, from beginner to pro!(we may not have much to offer a professional cyclist in terms of cross racing skills, but we'd love a chance to ask questions!)
Last week's camp was a blast! We did a few warmup laps of the park perimeter, stretched and discussed how to stretch for cx, and then did some hot laps of a very specially designed short course, with plenty of strength training and fitness building exercises in between laps for an added challenge. We all had a chance to ask questions, receive instructions, give and receive feedback, and practice what we needed to work on in a fun setting!
This week promises to bring gorgeous weather for practicing cross skills, despite the early onset of dusk these days.Bring your lights, bring water, bring a friend!
We meet at Fernhill Park at NE 38th and Simpson at 6pm.Park in or near the cul-de-sac, or ride your bike out and meet us under the trees by the baseball field.
If you are running late, no worries, we'll be doing warm up laps until 6:20, and then we'll probably be on the hill in the trees working on bike handling until it starts to get dark. You'll find us!
Camp ends around 7:30-7:45.
See you there!

Free and open to everyone

Hi OBRALanders!
We've been holding these cross camps every week for about 2 months now, and we'll keep going all the way into December.
This is a great chance to practice, share, and discuss cross tactics and skills in a casual and relaxed environment.
We always spend about 15-20 minutes warming up, then usually work on some handling/technique drills, practice barriers and running, play through some mock race scenarios, run a few cool down laps, and have plenty of time for feedback, questions, and general discussion.

Again, this is free and open to the public.
We do recommend that you bring lights and water.

We meet at 6 near the soccer fields, and then move on to more appropriate terrain.
If you don't see us, just ride around the perimeter trail. You'll find us.
