You're right, Matt, that was a bad call on my part and I was just about to say that when I say your e-mail. To justify Velo Vie, I do have one of their high end road bikes that I have loved for the past few years.
The ironic part is that Velo Vie has lowered their prices by about 30% over the past 2 years. I think to compete with companies like Planet X.
My main goal was just to promote a local company with some kick ass prices, I just did it in a poor way.
It is nice to see all of these smaller companies driving down the price on stuff that is way to expensive and it's nice to find it locally, like Velo Forma, corsa concepts, SweetPea (that had hard to find spokes that I really needed a day before a race). Sure, unless if it's custom, were putting some money to China, but it's the underpaid local bike shop guys/girls that are doing what they love to make the few bucks for race entry fees, so we can race along side them.

No fork on the Planet X. Love those guys over there, but I do have to say, not too classy to essentially claim another brand is ripping people off. Don't throw someone under the bus to prop up your sponsor, they don't need it and it looks tacky.

So I know it's cx season, but I just saw an identical bike to mine but I had to laugh at the price. Check out and compare these two links.
