Some one could yell "You got passed by the World Champion". Then the inferiority would not be implied it would be explicit and expected. The offense only comes when both heckler and hecklee buy into the stereotype.

Shouting "you got passed by a girl" IMPLIES inferiority. One would not say "you got passed by a _____ (insert any number of racial, cultural, gender,etc stereotypes)". In fact, if you were to say something like that to wrong person you might get roughed up.
+1 for being pissed by that behavior. Good on ya for standing up to it.
Heckling's fun, but putting down a class of people while doing so just illustrates one's ignorance.
Finally, if its not nice, dont say it.
