OT: DSL

I am thinking about going to DSL on my Mac Mini and Century Link offers all sorts of plans, each one more expensive than the previous. It comes down to the same old thing: Faster is more expensive. So the question is what is fast enough?

So:

Is 1.5 Mbs fast enough to watch Youtube or, more importantly, is it fast enough to watch Tour De France clips?

Does anyone have hands-on (eyes-on?) experience with 1.5Mbs DSL and how good is it. My usual test is how fast www.guitarcenter.com comes up or some of the Ebay "topics."

And are there any "gotchas" in moving a Mac Mini to DSL?

Thanks for any information.
