David Rosen
Hi Everyone,
What a Cross Crusade weekend that was! The racing was AMAZING! The course
was OUT OF THIS WORLD FUN! The weather was EXTREME! And the costumes were
INSPIRED to say the least! We had such a great time at the festivities this
weekend that we are already psyched to do it again this coming weekend!
Based on the weather report, it sounds like we could be in for some muddy
racing, and what better way to race the day then on a titanium CX bike with
disc brakes! It really doesn't get much better than that..
Despite the fact that our tent was blown over Sunday morning and injured in
its attempt to perform a Triple Lundy Back flip over the other expo area
tents during the Beginner race on Sunday morning, replacement parts are on
their way and the Sage Cycles tent will be back in action for Sunday. It
sounds like we are going to need it with potential rain coming this weekend.
For those of you who have been contemplating demoing the bikes, all I can
say is that they are race winning bikes! Look no further than Pierce Louis
who rode to the victory on Sunday in the Men's Beginner race aboard a Sage
Cycles demo bike. He picked up the bike about an hour before his race, rode
it around for a little bit, and then went out and won the race! His first
words when he came back to the tent were: "It was all the bike!" How's that
for an endorsement?
As usual, I will have the demo bikes available for racing this Sunday. The
reservation list is setup and ready to go and it is based on first come/
first served. Please email me your bike size request and which race you are
planning on doing. For the day of the race, you will need to bring your
pedals and saddle measurement (center of BB to top of saddle- if you want
the bike dialed in a specific way for you). Also, please bring a credit card
and photo ID so I have something to hold onto while you are racing. I race
the Clydesdale race, so if you are racing one of the first 3 races in the
morning, we will plan everything out accordingly. Lastly, there will be the
waiver form for you to sign before you head out with the bike.
I look forward to seeing everyone Sunday for what should be another
fantastic day of racing!
Thank you to the Crusade crew for putting on such an AWESOME event! Thank
you to the OBRA crew for keeping everyone in line and doing such a fantastic
job making the day go smooth!
Sincerely,
Dave
