Hi everyone: I wanted to let you know about a great new race and venue we're putting together at Liepold Farms outside of Boring, OR this Saturday.
The venue is perfect for families, kids, and--of course--people who love cross.
Recently, the City of Sandy contacted Sellwood Cycle Repair and Team S&M to help develop a fun and challenging course, and that's just what we've done. At just over 1.5 miles in length, it features long straightaways, a descent to run-up transition, and a twisty but well-defined corn maze. Lap times could be fast, depending on weather.
There will be food, beverages, and of course a kiddie race. Best, there's a nice covered area for staff, riders, and their families.
We already have an eye for the future, hoping this event becomes a staple on the OBRA calendar for years to come.
Pre-registration is still open today. Here's the link: http://obra.org/schedule/2013/cyclocross#november
