Devin, I might not agree 100% but you are right with your view on that it's good that the kids see that even adults can act foolish and learn from that.

I don't think there was anything horrible in the thread. I definitely think it stayed at a PG rating. I think any kids reading it can see how foolish adults can be and learn from it. I think it was actually a more useful thread than many of the "FS..." listings and more entertaining to read. 

If these kids view us as idols then we ought to burst that bubble sooner than later.

So like many of you, when there is a long thread going on, we ignore it.  I did not read the beginning of this thread, I started reading when Michael made a public apology.
Now I'm sure that I don't know what I'm talking about since I missed what was going on, but I have noticed that the past few threads have been getting quite nasty.
As seniors (19+) we look up to the pro's and feel let down when our idols act out of line, for what ever reasons.  So please keep in mind that the juniors can read all these posts and to them us grown ups might be their idols.  They might see us as...wow, some day I want to be as broke as Stewart but have nice bikes that he buys piece by piece from the money that he makes from his annoying pressure washing solicitation on OBRA.
