Sweet sweet OBRA.
Three exciting Cross races from the California border to the mighty Columbia on Saturday Thanks to three separate promoters.
1) I have never raced the Southern Oregon Outlaw Series (this week in Medford), but the 5 race series is probably a blast and saves the southern Or., northern CA. folks from super long distance travel. Those I have spoken to who have made the trip down say it is a blast to race. That is sweet they are having fun down South!
2) Psycho Cross Series in Coburg is a real Jekyll & Hyde adventure depending on the amount of rain we are blessed with on race day. Sal and Crew put on one fun race for the Eugene Springfield group and those from North, South and East who want to travel over to race on the edge of the river. That Sal is a “trickster” so expect excitement.
3) In the second year and second race this season.... Fazio Farm CX may be the the hidden Gem of Cross in the Metro Area. Worth the trip from out of the area as well. This last time was so very hard, but equally as much fun! Team Ironclad will create another adventure of mythical proportion.
All three of these races are sublime offerings for the “cross connoisseur”. Pick one and go race!
Sunday!!!!! Cross Crusade Barton Park. After your Saturday adventures, you can take your bike and helmet out to the “Gravel Pit” to remind you of the places you used to sneak into on your bike with your buddies to romp around. This just happens to be OBRA & Clackamas Co. sanctioned. Ah. Barton. You either love it or hate it. I love Barton. It was the very first cross race I did that really scared me. That was before the bridge. “Ride the ditch! Ride the ditch!” Thanks are already coming your way Crusade Crew.
What a weekend!
