Having GPS "mapped" most of the favorite routes in Portland on a Garmin GPSMap76S, and some cool downloading.. I've come to realize that Mt. Tabor has some of the poorest GPS reception around. That and satellite signal interference from Auker's silver helmet.



This is mostly due to the height of the trees and the narrowness of the roads.



So basically the error factor is high on Tabor for a GPS and the survey info Bruce has should be used.

I borrowed a Garmin Geko 201 GPS unit and zero'd it

out by the gate at the lower reservoir. I put it in

my jersey pocket and soft pedaled the course. That's

what the GPS read when I was done with the loop.
