After being a vital link in much of T-Mobile's success over the past few
months and a feature picture in VeloNews' coverage of the Nationals (June 16 issue
pg. 79), Stacey Peters had a Huge day in Minneapolis finishing 2nd to Ina
Teutenberg in the criterium stage of the Nature Valley GP.

For many years, I have watched Stacey develop into one of the strongest team
riders in the women's peloton, a female version of Sean Yates. This year with
T-Mobile her efforts and talents are being fully utilized and recognized in a
dominant team. Throughout the season, in post-race interviews T-Mobile stars
-- Dee Dee Demet, Kim Bruckner and Amber Neben -- have consistently noted the
value of her efforts in controlling field, bridging gaps and providing the big
pull leadouts.
Yesterday, she got to be in the spotlight. We can all be proud of her.
