Race Update :

* Special Thanks : I would like to personally thank Paul Bourcier and Smith&Nephew p/b West End Bikes for sponsoring two entries for juniors cyclist. Thank you for supporting the future and development of our sport.
* Cat 1/2 Men's Race : Correction 2: After speaking with my Chief Referee, she pointed out the following rule and determined the Cat 1/2 Men's field will not have a feed zone. Field laps will remain @ 3 .

OBRA Rule - 15.1.4 - Feeding will normally not begin during the first 50 kilometers of a race, and will end 30 kilometers from the finish. The Chief Referee may make exceptions to this in case of extreme weather.

* Parking on Palestine Road : In years past, our spectators have come up and parked on the side of the road to see the riders finish. After speaking the with the residents and hearing concerns, parking will be restricted to the downhill side of the Palestine Road. These steps are being implemented per the request of the residence and for the safety of the cyclists. Please communicate this to all spectators, friends and family .
* Adair Village : A couple of years back, we experienced a issue where one of our cyclist decided to relieve himself out in the open (urination) and one of the residence saw this. Needless to say this did not go over well. After meeting with the high school administrator this year about the race, this was a HOT topic, and she wanted to make a very strong point about it not EVER happening again. I cannot stress how important this is to the future of this event - because I promise you if it does happen again - the Cherry Pie will be no more.
* Rider Awareness : Please be aware when you are out on the road warming up or coming back from your race - that we need to make sure that we are as far to the right as we can possibly be. Residence in the area also voiced concerns about riders being 3 and 4 deep blocking the road. Please remember that we are guest in their neighborhood and we have to show respect and common road sense. We all represent OBRA, so lets make sure we are policing ourselves and each other.
If you're waiting to see what the weather will be like before registering, we understand.

Pacific Power Blue Sky Racing staff will be there Sunday for Day-of-Event Registration to help you get through the lines as quickly as we can! All -

Just an update - I have been receiving emails about the Mens Cat 1/2 and adding a lap for a total of 3. I think this is a good idea and we will be making the change to the flyer information and registration.

Also, for those cyclists who would like to race in the AM and the PM session, we will add the following discount:
- $10.00 fee for those that want to race a second race - online. $15.00 on day of registration.

Thanks for feedback and patience as we make the necessary change to registration.
