Hello OBRAland.
I have a good friend who is looking to get into mountain biking as a total beginner, on a very tight budget.He is interested in a Medium 26er Hardtail with decent components, 1x or 2x10, hydraulic disc brakes.He doesn't care if it's SRAM or Shimano, he doesn't know the difference.He just needs a bike that fits and functions and is decent enough to be worth repairing and potentially upgrading down the road.
Let me know if you have anything or know of anything within a couple hundred bucks of the $1000 price range?
