Subject: Proposed bike trail
Dear Bike Friends,
Metro has been working on a master plan for a 25 mile paved
bike/pedestrian trail that will run north/south from Forest Park (at
Springville Rd.) to Kings City. The plan has received positive support
throughout the planning/designing process, however - as always, there
are a few people who oppose this new trail and they have been very vocal
and sending negative letters. The master plan goes before the county
commissioners next week for a vote. Since the county is only receiving
negative letters, I think it is worthwhile to send letters supporting
the trail. Attached below is the letter that I wrote. If you would like
to show your support, you may print this letter (on your business or
personal letterhead), sign and mail it. Please feel free to send it
along to other friends.
Thank you for supporting new bike trails.
Cheers,
Barbara Nelson
