Hi OBRALAND!!!
Let's Race Bikes has partnered with a few local businesses to put together a real grass roots collaborative project and we're just launched our website and online SOCK sales!
You can buy socks here: http://letsracebikes.com/pblrb-shop-donate/
$20 gets you happy feet and helps support talented, kind, lovely PNW women on bikes!
There will also be socks available locally at the following shops within the week:
Sellwood Cycle Repair (Sellwood)
Portland Bicycle Studio (NW Portland) (current available here)
Seven Corners Cycles (SE Portland)
and perhaps 1 or two more.
I will post again when the socks are in place at your favorite LBS!
The quick summary of project We are sending a group of PNW Women Racers to race at one of the biggest PRO races this June. I raced it last year as a part of a special Pro Chase team and we aim to do something similar with the local talented women racers from Oregon and Washington. (FYI I will be at the race, but racing for a different team, it's better that way I prefer to promote the crap out of something that I am not directly benefiting from :)
You might be thinking 'hm, how does Anna Grace know how to put together a composite team? she's not had much experience with NRC racing yet'. You can read the long version of how this grass roots collaborative project was born on my blog : http://www.tinywoodenbox.com/blog/2014/3/18/a-project-pblrb
It only made sense to partner with the Portland non-profit dedicated to getting more WOMEN racing road bikes (Lets Race Bikes, www.letsracebikes.com).
We are also collaborating with a couple local companies:
Castelli (cycling apparel)
The Athletic (www.theathleticcommunity.com)
Sellwood Cycle Repair (bike shop)
We designed and produced a sock as a collaboration with The Athletic (link above). Also, the socks are MADE IN THE USA, I think its pretty neat.
hit me up off list with questions.
Have an awesome week!
