Scappoose - North and South Open ??

I am glad you voiced your opinion. I voiced mine. The end for me is that we
retain as much access to as many trails as we can. I strongly state in
advocacy forums, that we need to not just rely on the ask for permission
approach to expanding our riding options.

Please just consider that, with the switch in ownership from Longview to
Weyerhaeuser, Scappoose has the potential to be something more like it was
in its prime, more like other Weyerhaeuser properties like Castle Rock.
Don't get caught.

yeah, i realize both sides. just where i'm coming from. we're all adults and can make our own decisions. and it IS my backyard. it's all our backyard. and as far as i know, no one is out sabotaging anything. i don't condone riding on the hiking trails in forest park but they're trying to save the woods. could care less what transgressions are made on a company that's clear cutting and care even less what someone who supports their cause thinks of me or my attitude. by the way, before anyone starts their little fits about my "anonymity" my name is eric mcmurtry. have a good one guys. you can take back the trails while they're still here or you can make 'em nice and clean before they wipe 'em away.

What if it was your back yard dacri? They have worked with NWTA and your
point of view is just the type of behavior that can make it even worse for
riders who do care to respect their land use rules. I personally am not a
fan of clear cutting, but I am not out there sabotaging their equipment or
closure rules. I even put hundreds of hours into those trails that have
been destroyed by the clearcuts..........Let it go man.
Just where I am coming from.

Try not to piss off the new owners by getting caught trespassing on their
land. The upper gate is closed due to active logging. The lower area is
open but there is some blow down. The area has lost a lot of trail.

Ron S.? Anybody been up there? Not sure if these closures are normally posted anywhere.

Any info appreciated!

Thanks!
