2014 State Championship

OBRA Team Time Trial

Brownsville, Oregon

Saturday, May 17th, 2013

General Information : Team Time Trial Championship will not include FIAC or OBRA TT Cup status.

Course Description : A single, 23.8 mile Loop! Start/Finish just north of Brownsville, Oregon.

Parking and Staging Area : Please follow Signs and Volunteer’s directions! Participant and Spectator Parking is available at Pioneer Park in Brownsville.

SPECIAL NOTE : ALL participants will stage from Pioneer Park. Start Line is approx. 0.4 mile north of the park. Take Fisher St. north from the park, to Walnut, then to Ash St. through a small, quiet neighborhood. PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL, COURTEOUS AND MINDFUL OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS!

ABSOLUTELY NO PUBLIC URINATION will be tolerated!!!

RACE REGISTRATION and FEES:

 Entry Fee: Adults: $25.00 each team member

Juniors: $10.00 each team member

 On-Line Registration Only . Visit OBRA.org to Register. No “Day-of” Registration

 Team Check-In opens @ 8:00 AM. First Team to start @ 10:00 AM. Start Intervals: 1 minute.

 Official Start List: Posted on Friday, May 16th

 OBRA Annual Licenses required to medal . Licenses available for sale at the event. If you don’t already have one, get your Annual License from OBRA.org before the event!

PRIZES :

 OBRA provides State Championship medals to Top 3 Teams in each Category

 State Champion cycling apparel available for purchase by Winners. (Annual License holders only)

 Awards presented at Staging Area in Pioneer Park near the stage, following the race.

IMPORTANT EVENT INFORMATION!!

 Teams may include 3 or 4 riders. The third rider across the Finish Line stops the clock!

 Category-based Teams (e.g. Cat 4) must include a majority of riders from the Category. Other riders on the team may be from a lower Category.

 Example: A “Women Cat 3” team may have three Cat 3 racers, and one Cat 4 racer.

 Example: A “Category 4/5” team may have all Cat 4, all Cat 5; or, any combination of Cat 4 or Cat 5 racers

 CENTERLINE RULE will be enforced around the entire course! Finishing teams stay in the right lane! DO NOT cross the center line when finishing!

 Racing Violation Penalties will be administered as follows:

o 1 st Offense = Warning*

o 2 nd Offense = 15 seconds

o 3 rd Offense = 30 seconds

o 4 th Offense = Disqualification for entire team

* Depending on the severity of the offense. Final determination determined by Chief Official.

 Race Numbers will be provided . Pin numbers on RIGHT SIDE . DO NOT WEAR OBRA NUMBERS .

 On-Course Passing : Passing Teams should call out “On Your Left!” and pass on the left in single file without crossing centerline. Teams being passed should ride single file and keep right.

 NO PUBLIC URINATION!!! Plenty of facilities will be available to everyone in Pioneer Park.

 Teams must complete the entire 23.8-mile course. Racers may not re-enter the race after leaving the course.

DIRECTIONS:

FROM NORTH of BROWNSVILLE : Take I-5 South to Exit 216. Turn left onto HWY 228. Drive approximately 4 miles and turn left on Main St. Go over the bridge and turn left on Park Ave. Go over the small hill and follow the signs to Pioneer Park.

FROM SOUTH of BROWNSVILLE : Take I-5 North to Exit 216. Turn right onto HWY 228. Drive approximately 4 miles and turn left on Main St. Go over the bridge and turn left on Park Ave. Go over the small hill and follow the signs to Pioneer Park.
