Hello Everyone
Cottage Grove is canceled but......
The good news is the Shotgun Creek 2 Fat Tire Festival WILL HAPPEN and =
we have some great new courses for you...the BLM logged the Shotgun =
Creek 1 courses, but the new courses are better anyway. First 100 =
people will get a free t-shirt...I will be doing a mailing very soon.
The new DH is a great fast and tech course... I think this is my best DH =
course ever.
The new XC is a great new longer lap course with more single track then =
the last course...hope to see you there
Now the bad news...
I am sorry to let you all know that the Cottage Grove Fat Tire Festival =
is Canceled do to fire danger...this course was on private land and they =
were just not willing to let us have the race , plus to be 100% honest a =
group of for lack of a better term far left eco-activist had just =
started to try and block the race too...they felt Mt. Biking was bad for =
the land and mother earth....
You should all be worried about this, as these are the same kind of =
people that are trying to close BLM and Forest Service trails to Mt. =
Biking. It has already happened on some trails.
Please be active, work on trails and promote our sport in positive =
way's.
