Pickett's Charge! is coming up on Sunday, June 29th in Bend. Registration is live on Obra.org and the first 100 people registered online receive Pickett's Charge socks free with registration. This year, Pickett's Charge has partnered with Bend's Subaru Outdoor Games. In addition to the awesomeness that is Pickett's Charge, we have some great new additions:

1. Mountain Bike Demo Days: Bend's Cog Wild will be hosting mountain bike demo days at Pickett's this year. From 1pm to 4pm, you will be able to check out all of the latest and greatest mountain bikes, gear and accessories. Demo a bike and ride from the Pickett's Start/Finish area, Wanoga Sno Park. Ride downhill on the "Funner" trail and Cog Wild will shuttle you back to the start.

2. Music and food: Bend Radio Group's 92/9 station will be on site playing music all day. COTA (Central Oregon Trail Alliance) will also be selling food and beer. All proceeds benefit COTA, the amazing team of people that works tirelessly to improve and preserve Central Oregon's extensive trail network.

Other things you can expect from Pickett's Charge:
A fun, safe and well marked course. We've changed the course this year incorporating some of the newer trails like Tyler's Traverse and Dinah Moe Humm (map available soon, description on website)
Post race beer for racers, free from our friends at Deschutes Brewery
Free socks to the first 100 registered, after we've reached 100, socks can be purchased for $5.00 a pair ($11 retail value)
Medals for top three finishers in every category
$650 total cash purse for the top three male and female ELITE racers (must be registered as elite)

...and don't forget, Pickett's Charge is the final race of the Mudslinger Oregon XC Oregon Series!
