I pre-rode the "short course" (cat 2) the other night, here is a breakdown: Start from the top of the park, head up Glenview, right onto Ashland Loop Road.. up, up, and up, to 4 corners, turn left and down onto Road 600 (Tolman Creek), then right and up onto Road 2080 (Siskiyou Summit Road). Here is where the cat 2 and 1 courses diverge. Cat 1 continues up about 4 miles, and then down Bull Gap, back to 4 corners, whereas cat 2 turns off maybe a mile up Siskiyou Summit Road, left, onto the Eastview trail, then back to Road 600 (Tolman Creek), back up to 4 corners. From 4 corners, they both go down Catwalk, to Toothpick, to Caterpillar, down the Loop Road a bit, and then there is a short, super steep climb up to BTI, then back onto Glenview for the finish at the top of the park.
All of the climbing is on fire road, most of the descending single track. Hope that helps!

It looks like a new course this year. I can see the map but it is kind of hard for me to tell what it means. Are we going all the way up to the ski area? Is it one lap? Is all of the climbing double track (as usual)? Is all of the descending single track (as usual)? Any other comments on the course appreciated.
