I don't believe Jamie's point is to ignore OBRA officials. He is just pointing out that done correctly, lead outs are a safe and important aspect of racing at PIR.

A little dialogue is not dissent. It can lead to safer races for all of us.

No one cares how fast or how old you are, nor how many races you've won/ entered. If Mike Murray, Luciano, Candi or anyone with a yellow polo shirt tells you to do something, shut your mouth and do it. If you can't/won't listen to OBRA officials, stick to Strava. It's free and you can argue with people about their KOMs to your hearts content.
