We are getting geared up for the 5th annual Sisters Stampede, and I'd like to share a couple updates with you.
Registration is getting very full, and we have less than 100 spots available. Since we had 150 riders register on race day in 2010, I'm fairly certain that there will be no "day of" registration. Online registration closes at 12:00pm on Friday afternoon, so if we aren't full at that time, we will form a line (first come, first serve) at Blazin Saddles bike shop in Sisters.
Race course is the same as 2013, and will be marked for pre-riding on Saturday morning. The course is fast, and the views & wildflowers are vibrant!
Block Party:
Saturday, May 24th from 11:00am-6:00pm (Blazin saddles Bike shop 413 W Hood Ave - Sisters, Oregon) Raffle, bike give away, beer, live music, bike demos, 30% off select bikes.
Packet pick up:
Saturday, May 24th from 2:00pm-5:00pm (Blazin Saddles Bike shop 413 W Hood Ave - Sisters, Oregon)
Race Day:
Sunday, May 25th
Packet pick up: 7:45am-10:00am
Novice Start: 10:30
Everybody else in waves following the Elite Men at 11:05am
We will be implementing chip timing for the first time, which means no pull tags!! Take very good care of your plates!
Overall Men, and Women get their cool belt and buckle, along with a night at Five Pine, and dinner for two at Three Creeks.
Top 3 Men, and Women overall split $1,000.. Womens payout is the same as the guys.
Category winners also get custom buckles, along with prizes for 2nd, and 3rd which are very sweet too!
Also, OBRA XC State champion medals will be awarded separately for the top 3 finishers in your respective categories.
A special raffle for a Felt 29er, and an On-One frame will be a fundraiser for Central Oregon Trail Alliance (COTA).
