The more people who pick up their plates Monday the shorter the lines race day!!!

I can hardly contain my excitement..... ;o)

"Our registration crew will be on-site selling series passes and single-night race entries for our first night of racing."

Subject: [OBRA Chat] Portland Short Track Series 2014 Kick-Off Night @ The Lumberyard - this Monday (5/26)!

Join us next Monday (Memorial Day) at the Lumberyard Indoor Bike Park for a fun evening of riding, socializing, and getting all dialed for the 10th edition of the Portland Short Track Series.

Come pick up your series race plate and ride the Lumberyard Indoor Bike Park for just $10 (from 4pm to 10pm) or come just watch the action (entrance is free) and socialize with fellow short track racers. There will be free riding clinics by Lumberyard instructors and we'll raffle off a bunch of cool prizes among all racers who register or drop by anytime during the evening (you don't have to ride or stay around to win).

Our registration crew will be on-site selling series passes and single-night race entries for our first night of racing. And first-time adult Short Track racers will enjoy a special newbie discount (Series Pass: $20 OFF, first-race entry fee: $10 OFF).

Finally, the Lumberyard Pub will be serving a $8 taco special (veggie option available) and will have HUB beer on tap!

Check the facebook event page for more details and a list of folks who plan to attend: https://www.facebook.com/events/1508296992725358/

Have a great weekend and hope to see you on Monday at The Lumberyard!

PS 1: a heads-up that you still have until next Wednesday to purchase your Short Track Series Pass. It will save you time and money at the races, you'll enjoy a weekly call-up at the start of your category, and your name will get entered in the drawing of a gift certificate for a Chris King bottom bracket or headset of choice. [ http://www.portlandracing.com/series-pass-2014.html ]

PS 2: We still have a couple open volunteer positions for the series, which we hope to fill in the next days. If you are interested and available to help out - in exchange for a free race entry - just reply to this email. Preference goes to racers who are able to volunteer throughout the whole series.
