Hi friends of cycling!
Once again, we’re getting ready for the July 5-6 High Desert Omnium. A
great local race that showcases the beauty and diversity of bike racing in
Central Oregon. New this year is the switch in order of the races. We’re
starting with a Saturday road race (once again the OBRA men’s road race
state championship out in the Cascade range west of town) followed by the
crit and TT on Sunday (east of town at the Bend Airport).

We know there are a lot of events that require volunteers, so we
especially appreciate your support of this Bend-produced and directed race.
This race gets rave reviews from racers, mainly because of the volunteers
who make the race safe and fun! And, for those of you who race, this is
your chance to be part of what makes racing possible.

Benefits to volunteers:

- Front row seat to the bike racing action

- Yummy lunch

- Lead and follow car drivers get gas money and everyone gets gift
certificates

Just sign up in the spot you like and don't forget to add your phone
and e-mail in the spaces provided. Note the different tabs for the
different races.

All volunteers will get an e-mail a few days prior to the race with
volunteer check-in location, map and any specific instructions for your
position.
