Does the promoter's agreement with the Water Bureau grant exclusive access
to the road during the event? If so, perhaps you could request help from
the on site security.

I've been course marshaling for years now and this year i'm definitely
noticing an upswing of "zero fu**ks" given by pedestrians on the course.
You can only yell at them so many times and all it does is create a
resentment and continuing violations. In the last 3 weeks I've already
gotten into verbal tiffs with people, one lady who would not move from the
middle of the road and was yelling at me that "it's a public park and she
has a right to the road" (?!?! could be the same lady) also some skaters
who were complaining that, "everyone keeps yelling at me, I'm not a child I
can do what I want here" (pretty childish if you ask me)

Anyway.. This is also a perspective. I honestly feel that the more we yell
at people in the park the worse it's going to get. Last year I was on good
terms with the skaters and with mutual respect they would stop at the top
of the hill every time and chat with me. I almost thought some of these
skaters were going to start cheering..

Food for thought. Other than we really need a snow fence up top.

I really think Mt. Tabor is a race that could benefit from a lead
motorcycle. I have seen lots of close calls lately with strollers, dogs, etc.

The 4 field had 2 guys skating down at the start of the sprint last night.
They certainly disrupted the sprint, but now one went down (I think).

Last year I remember snow fencing at the hairpin at the top. It seems like
that would discourage the skaters from bombing from the top and onto the
course.

Several people had asked the two skaters in this video link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lA5Renbxams to be safe and not just stake directly into oncoming racers.
