Hey Everyone,
A heads-up that we have extended the pre-reg deadline for Sunday's Six Hours of Mt Hood and you still have until end-of-day today to register online (at http://www.portlandracing.com/6hrs/registration.html) and save $5 off the day-of-race fee.
We still have more than 70 "racer-packets-in-a-pint" left (and another 40 pint glasses), so everyone who shows up on Sunday should get in on the goodness!
The updated start list for Sunday is posted at http://www.portlandracing.com/6hrs/start-list-2014.html
If you have pre-registered, please have a look and make sure that your name is showing in the correct category and that your registration is complete (still about 40 racers who haven't filled out the online waiver).
As for the weather forecast for Sunday, they have continued showers in the forecast through tomorrow, but it's still supposed to let up by Saturday evening. The latest NOAA forecase for Sunday calls for "A 20 percent chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 57. West wind 7 to 9 mph." Obviously, that could mean anything, so please come prepared with enough warm/dry/rainproof clothes in order to stay comfortable during and after your race. While the trails have pretty good drainage, we expect plenty of puddles on Lake Road (the wide road heading back to the finish area), so fenders will definitely come in handy.
I plan to pre-ride the course one more time tomorrow (early afternoon) and will post a final course review and some pics of the course on the Portland Racing facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/portlandracing), so you all know what to expect. Either way, we'll do our best to make it another great edition and your presence will only make it more awesome!
Cheers,
~Kris
