Hi David -- check out he HiFi Mix Tape clinchers. We have a couple of models that could be perfect for you. The Mix Tape SL is a little more than your quoted price, but the Mix Tape Bomber would work.
And Sellwood Cycle has a couple of pairs of some custom Mix tapes that are sub-$600 and slot in right between those models both in terms of weight and price.
