I did not race, but went out and checked out the course and helped with some re-set between 1st / 2nd race. Well laid out course! Looked fun. Good turnout for a first time and a shout out to the organizers. I may come out for some abuse next week.
I have to say with Blind Date starting next Wednesday, we are maybe, as the Dude would say....”The Royal We man”. A person could actually get their dosage of Cross two nights a week if that is all their schedule allowed. Unless of course they are Cross Addicts. OBRA and all the racers, promoters, sponsors and families making up the family are a special thing in these 50 states. I personally love both Gigantic IPA and Alpenrose Chocolate Milk. Maybe a bubbler of each at each venue?

Congrats to the folks behind the Rapha Cup. Sounds like they put together an awesome event! You've got five more weeks of party at PIR.
If you like evening cyclocross, don't forget the O.G. of Oregon nighttime 'cross, the Blind Date at the Dairy. Grab a sitter--Date night starts next week!

Ok - not so much a recap ... but ... just a shout out. Will and Crew did a great job setting up and running the race. A challenging course that gave you no respite ... If you were on the fence about racing this - get yer fannies off the fence and go have fun!
Also - don't forget to check out the People's Pig post race - nothing better than a fabulously tasty pork sandwiches ... Clydesdale Approved !! If you partake of the golden tasty sweetness called BEER - you gotta check out the Gigantic IPA that was on tap too. I swear, a Cubano Pork Sandwich and Gigantic IPA are the absolutely best recovery plan you can ever find!
Last - the fine folk at the Western Bike Works tent gave me a hand tweaking my ride last minute before the race start - good folks there!!
Last nights race course was short (compact footprint to fit in the light perimeter), straight fast stretches, and lots of switch backs to mix things up. Great use of the hillside ... lots of places where you had to watch your speed in the thick gravel sections ... all in all - you really had to be both delicate and powerful!
