A huge thanks to all the folks who trekked out to Alderbrook on saturday for Zaaldercross. We had a great time bringing this race to you but were a little nervous starting over with an all new venue(especially with such a puny sand section). We appreciate you taking a chance on an unknown race and are super stoked to come back next year with an improved version. We'll be working to get the kinks out and are happy to hear suggestions for improving the race for next time around. A few shout outs to:
- The 550 racers who raced so hard on a demanding course and helped support p:ear at the same time
- As always, our OBRA officiating team was top notch. They are fun, efficient, and super good at what they do. We are very lucky to be racing under their banner. Thanks.
- A great group of volunteers who cheerfully went about their work to keep things humming along
- The fantastic sponsorship support we had from SRAM, Bogs, Speedvagen, West End Bikes, Donkey Label, Timbuk 2, Chris King, The Commons Brewery, Salmon Creek Cycles
- Excellent mechanical support from Sellwood Cycles
- Alderbrook Park for naively opening their gates to us and allowing us to tear around their grounds all day. FYI, they told me the racers were so friendly and well behaved.
