On Sunday, August 3rd, Michael Maag was struck from behind by a car on his

way home from a training ride just outside of Ashland. Michael was flown to

Rogue Valley Medical Center where he is currently listed in critical

condition. He was riding on a straight stretch of Hwy 66 with excellent

visibility and low traffic volume. The only witness to the accident was the

driver of the car who claimed that Michael swerved into the lane as she

passed. The accident is still under investigation.
