Thanks for the reminder Mark. I didn't put Marty Jennings the musician together with Marty Jennings the rider until you sent your message. Several years ago, before moving to Eugene, Marty used to do a lot of Portland Wheelman rides and even raced a couple of times. Back then, Marty was trying to decide whether to make his way as a musician and what kind of music he wanted to play. You'd have had no idea that he was a big a talent as he was. He was a really unassuming guy who took an interest in everyone and everything. He was good on the bike and a great guy to ride with.

For those who knew Marty Jennings, and those who didn't, there is a benefet concern this sunday at 7:30 at the Schnitzer concert hall in Portland, no tickets needed, but they will be asking for $$ at the door to benefit Marty's 18 month old daughter and his unborn child as well.

Also if you see stuff about needing tickets, they changed that yesterday, no tickets needed, just show up.
