Last week I went down to Parowan and Brian Head for a Site Visit.
For those not familiar, it is sometimes requested for new USCF
races. I am pleased to share with everyone about a new exciting
race both to the USCF schedule and the UCA schedule.
Mark your calendars and come to southern Utah on August 23rd & 24th.
The Tour de Gap is part of the Iron County Fair and specific
information can be found at:
county.net/departments/fair/tourdegap/
I looked at all venues. Stage one will begin at Brian Head Ski
Resort - over 9000 feet - and I've been told is usually around 30's
to 40's in the morning in August and 70's by afternoon... you will
climb and descend over the 55 mile course through great roads and
views. Stage 2 is later that afternoon and will start right by the
fair grounds and is just over 12 miles with mostly an out and back
time trial course - with a short stretch to main street. Stage
three will again start by the fair grounds and is relatively flat -
taking you west through "the gap" and south towards Cedar City.
This IS a UCA points event and should be a great addition to the
local race schedule.

Keep the rubber side down!
