Hey everyone who was at the class tonight,

Thanks for helping out with Leeann. She's doing ok. Broken collarbone and a
gnarly head gash that needed some staples. Everything else checked out and
she remembers who I am (thats good right?).

Thanks for the help. It was very much appreciated.

The track class started last night. 50 people showed up! While that is
beyond wonderful. We cannot accommodate and run good classes when we have
that many riders. So we will have to start capping attendance at these
sessions to 30 riders.
If there is a demand we may be able to add some weekend classes.

Alpenrose Development Track Class

Every Wednesday

May 14th thru September 3rd

6:00pm until Dusk

class $5.00

bike rental $5.00

bring your helmet, pedals and shoes.

we have plenty of pedals with toe clips if you only have sneakers

If you need a bike please arrive by 5:30 so we can get you set up.

class is cancelled if it is raining

It is that time of year again. Racing on the velodrome is already off to a

great start and The weather is finally improving. It is time to broaden you

mind by riding around Alpenrose's notoriously steep 43 degree turns. There

are only a handful of tracks in the entire country and you live a stones

throw from Alpenrose (if you are in Portland that is). Alpenrose is not the

fastest surface mind you, but one of very the best tracks there is. Speed is

all relative anyway. Come out and add another dimension to your Oregon

cycling experience.

call or email me if you need any more info.

Another thanks to everyone who came out to track class last night

and those who helped out. We set another record for attendance (41) with

every bike rented out. If you are thinking of coming out next week and need

to rent a bike, please get there earlier so there is one for you. Thanks too

for your patience and understanding for the sheer number of new riders we

were trying to get on the track. If you did come out and were a little

frustrated by the lack of time you got to spend on the track I hope you at

least got to experience how much fun it can be. I think we also happened

across our maximum capacity and will now and will have a limit of 35 riders.

If we could maintain this level of enthusiasm we could easily have a

different night for beginning and advanced riders next year. I am sure Mike

and I will have this discussion over the off season.

I hope to see you again next week.

Until then
