Junior A
Ricky Bossen
Only one junior A? Where is everybody? Use the nice weather while we still have it.
Junior B
1 Madison Chilenski 19 Team Oregon
2 Kayla Woolcock 19 Team Oregon
3 Jacob Chilenski 10 Team Oregon
4 Patty Roper 10 Team Oregon
Junior C
1 Hazel Hollenbeck 12 B.I.K.E.
2 Ethan Hormann 11 Unattached
3 Griffin Williams 11 BBC
4 Ellie Bossen 10 Team Oregon
The B's and C's had one of the most closely contested nights of the season and demonstrated some impressive tactical skills. Racing all together they showed how a paced-points race is done. Who would like to sponsor a junior keirin series?
Masters
1 Chauncey Curl 38 Team Rubicon
2 Tom Powers 36 Half-Fast Velo
3 Luis Bernhardt 28 Gregg's Greenlake
4 Louella Houlter 12 Gregg's Greenlake
5 Drew Tracey 11 Columbia River Velo
6 Mike Murray 7 Team Oregon
The masters made the most of a low turnout by doing a long points race with some voluntary gear restrictions to level the playing field. Some of these old guys, erm, masters, were cranking an 80-inch gear through 30+mph laps! Masters track racing helps support junior track racing. We need more masters participation to make sure we can keep developing world champions.
