Dear OBRA land-

I am fly to Rome on Sept. 9th with three others and renting a car to

drive up to Tuscany and Umbria for about ten days (It's a long story-

there is a wedding involved). Anyway, the point is two of us are

bringing our bikes. We need a place to stow our bike boxes (hard cases

that do not collapse) in Rome and we need a rack of some kind for

whatever rental car (probably a wagon) we end up with.

Anyone have an leads on good bike stores where we could

buy/rent/borrow a rack? OK maybe we can't borrow one, but it flows

nicely with buy/rent. We would obviously prefer not to buy one.

Anyone have any ideas about stowing a bike box, I have thought of the

train station since I heard they have a luggage check at most train

stations but other suggestions would be very helpful.

Your words of wisdom (and messages of envy) would be appreciated. -Jake
