With 70 women on the start line and $7,000 up for grabs, the pace was
consistently high and there were a few crashes. Our Norrene Godfrey let the
full squads fight it out and marked Becky Quinn for the finish when she saw
Tonya Duff Miller wasn't on form. Out of the last corner of the last lap
Becky rode Norrene wide gave her the choice to hit the breaks or hit the
barrier....good move, she would have done that to Becky if she'd been in her
place. After loosing her momentum, Norrene still managed 8th place. Great
job, Norrene!
