Subject: 2000 Paraolympics
I wanted to let everyone know that I have made the US Paralympic team =
going to Sydney Australia this year. I got first place in National =
Women's Cycling. Competing in the five thousand meter my time was 8.43 =
and the road race, which was 28 miles, my time was 1 hr 24 mn. The =
Paraolympic do not separate the men and women who compete, therefore, I =
will be competing with the men in my division. =20
Many of you know that I have been struggling to be reclassified. After =
many months and having my lawyer intervene for me I was finally asked to =
meet with the reclassification committee the day before the trials to be =
evaluated and reassigned to a new division. I am now in division three =
and looking forward to competing with others in my division.

I have been traveling around a great deal this summer to train and get =
ready the for trials and now Sydney. I would like to thank everyone for =
all of their support, time and encouragement. I would also like to =
thank my sponsors and the Navigators who have allowed me to train with =
them this past few months. I would especially like to thank my family =
and closest friends for their support and keeping me encouraged when =
things didn't seem to be going so well. It has been a tough year and =
without all of you it would not be possible for me to have this =
opportunity.
I am still looking for support and donations to help me continue my =
training until Sydney as the cost of being reclassified was high as well =
as the traveling that was necessary to train. If you or someone you know =
